Rob
Instructor, Owner
(he/they)
Although Rob started young with firearms, beginning on his grandfathers old WWII Era .22 Winchester Training Rifle, as a young adult they were mostly apathetic towards them. It wasn’t until he was well out of his teens (and much more learned in leftist social and political theories) that Rob came to see firearms as the integral tools in self-defense, community defense, and liberation that they are.
In their free time Rob is either working with his local chapter of the SRA to train firearms novices, doing community building and outreach work with their local affinity group in Carroll County, MD, or just generally pursuing knowledge via reading, discussion groups, and training classes.
Rob and Erik co-formed Solidarity Firearms Training to ensure our most targeted comrades can have a place to practice their human right to self defense free from the racism, transphobia, queerphobia, and other bigotry that permeates the traditional firearms culture.
