Stop the Bleed / Harm Reduction

Description

This Stop the Bleed / harm reduction course is taught by one of our ally organizations, Red Star Community Preparedness LLC. Their American Red Cross and American College of Surgeons certified instructors will teach you the skills that you can use to help in a bleeding emergency or overdose situation before professional help arrives.
Taught with this course:
1. Stop the Bleed
2. Opioid overdose and Narcan administration
3. Assembling an IFAK or bleeding control kit

About 1.5 hours of classroom instruction

Computers for notes are permitted

The Stop the Bleed course presentation includes graphic depictions of bleeding that may be disturbing to some viewers.

Narcan will be provided at no charge to everyone that takes this course.

Fentanyl test strips can also be provided at no charge, but please let us know ahead of time if you’d like some.
